Abstract We are high school students from San Diego, California. Last year we used Mathematica in our math classes with our teacher, Abby Brown. This year we are part of an advanced math class and the MathematiClub at Torrey Pines High School. In our class we are learning more about Mathematica and are using it to do math activities, interdisciplinary projects, and community service. In this presentation we will share some of the work that we and our classmates have done. Jamie Ding is a senior with interests in the sciences, engineering, and politics. He enjoys using Mathematica to help tutor his little brother as well as to toy with concepts in math. He wants to develop a more intimate understanding of Mathematica to help in his exploration of math and logic topics outside the regular school curriculum. Vivian Feig is a senior and plans to study engineering in college. She is interested in the applications to cryptography of mathematical problems that are believed to be very hard to compute, such as factoring large numbers or polynomials. In particular, she wants to use Mathematica to create such encryption systems. Alan Joyce is a senior who is interested in pursuing computer systems design and technological studies in general. Alan is involved in applying Mathematica to a variety of fields, especially those that might not normally be directly associated with mathematics. He is fascinated by the connections that can be made between simulated mathematical concepts in Mathematica and everyday life. Victoria Le is a senior and is planning to pursue premed college studies. She is interested in how Mathematica is used in exploring the practical and the abstract. Particularly, Victoria is interested in both biology and photography, and wants to discover ways in which math will apply to each. Ernest Lee is a senior who enjoys science and mathematics and plans to study physics and chemical biology in college. In particular, he wants to learn more about the applications of fractional calculus in the sciences. Ernest also enjoys collecting Rubik's cubes and polyhedral puzzles and would like to be able to create working virtual models of them in Mathematica. Check out our website: www.MathematiClub.com
