This example shows how vector quantization, radial basis function, and feedforward networks compare when they are used to classify the data from a hybrid gas array sensor, an electronic nose, that is recording the odors of different cardboard papers from commercial manufacturers. The neural classifiers are trained to determine the origin of an unknown sample.
