OxideEq.m is a Mathematica package that takes two lists of oxide weight percent data for compositions of magnetite-ilmenite pairs. The data is used to calculate the ulvospinel and ilmenite components in the spinel and rhombohedral phases, respectively, by the method of Stormer(1983). The equations of Spencer and Lindsley(1981) are used to estimate temperature and oxygen fugacity. Oxide weight percent data must be in the order {SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, V2O3, Cr2O3, Fe2O3, FeO, MnO, MgO, ZnO, Nb2O5}Any oxides not included in your analyses should be entered as 0. See Droop(1987) for recasting total FeO (normal output from electron microprobe analysis) as FeO and Fe2O3.
