The purpose of this notebook is to outline some of the number-theoretical ideas and their implementations surrounding the concept of partitions and sums of integer powers in general. The author has used this material to introduce students to a variety of concepts in number theory, combinatorics and algorithm-design throughout interactive programming sessions. This notebook provides a framework on which to base a lecture on the subject.
