We can achieve very large separation factors using a parametric pump. Here, we find an analytical expression of the separation factor using the local equilibrium assumption and we plot this factor versus the number of cycles. Results are in agreement with the paper by R. L. Pigford, B. Baker III and D. E. Blum, An Equilibrium Theory for the Parametric Pump, I & EC Fundamentals, Vol 8, No 1, pp. 144- 149, 1969.
