Description

The Interactive Graphics Package lets you display 2-D Mathematica graphics in a J/Link window and interact with them using the mouse. Using a calibration technique, described in the help information, the mouse feedback is supplied in Mathematica coordinates, NOT in pixel coordinates (as would normally be the case with J/Link. The mouse interaction can take a number of forms. For example, one option will display an XOR'ed line or rectangle as the mouse is dragged over the graph. Examples include a graph which is populated using mouse clicks, and a trivial line drawing program which could form the basis for an interactive graph drawing program or a circuit layout tool.

The package requires J/Link (automatically present with version 4.2, or above), but no knowledge of J/Link or Java is required to run it. The ZIP file should be placed in the main Mathematica directory and expanded with a tool that preserves the directory structure. The help index should then be re-built.

Comments or suggestions regarding this package are welcome.
