Two components are separated by liquid chromatography using the two-phase rate model and the stagewise model. Linear equilibrium is assumed for the stagewise model (notebook named chromatography.nb). Both linear adsorption and non-linear langmuir adsorption situations can be solved using the two-phase rate model (see the notebooks named chromatogrphic_separation.nb and chromatogrphic_separation_NonLinear.nb ,respectively). This problem was originally solved using Berkeley-Madonna in Chemical Engineering Dynamics. Equation derivations could also be found in Chemical Engineering Dynamics, Ingham et al., Wiley-VCH, 2000.
