AELink is a Mathematica application that allows Mac OS X users to send arbitrary Apple events from within Mathematica. Virtually anything that can be done with Applescript can also be done with Mathematica with AELink. Scriptable applications (e.g. BBEdit, Mail) work best with AELink, but on Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) any application can be scripted with the "System Events" UI scripting addition. This application should work with any version of Mathematica that runs on Mac OS X ($Version >= 4.1.5). Simply download the disk image file, uncompress it, and drag the AELink folder into your ~/Library/Mathematica/Applications folder. Also included is an example notebook showing some basic scripting with AELink.
