Objectives

The purpose of the course is to teach fluency in the use of a statistical computing environment suitable for research work. The students get credit by completing project work.
Materials

I use my own Mathematica notebooks as the course text.
Description

This is a half-term course for fourth year and graduate students. The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to state-of-the art computer software for research work in statistics.

I have always had good student evaluations with this course but the class size is small about 6 to 15 students per year. I have taught this course for 3 years.
