This workshop will go over basic usage of Mathematica on Maker devices like the Raspberry Pi, as well as interfacing with Arduinos using the Wolfram Language. Participants are recommended to bring their own machines, as there will be some demo projects for people to work on, such as blinking an LED with the GPIO pins, measuring the relative performance of a Maker board like the Raspberry Pi versus a normal computer versus using the Wolfram Cloud, and a small robotics project. In addition to pre-arranged projects, there will also be ample opportunity for Q&A with Wolfram Engineers for any kind of questions on using these kinds of devices.
