This tutorial focuses on three disciplines of image processing: geometric transformations, feature detection, and color processing. We not only introduce the Mathematica commands in each of these disciplines, but also provide the motivation, the background, and the concepts behind the different image processing techniques. The aim of the tutorial is to convey a deeper understanding of some built-in image processing functions so that you can utilize these in your day-to-day image processing work flow more effectively.
