Although there are many benefits associated with the Mathematica notebook interface (flexibilty, audit trail, advanced options, etc.), for many users the requirement to even learn the basis of the Mathematica paradigm presents an insurmountable barrier. To address this, we have developed a GUI (graphical user interface) to allow those lacking a Mathematica foundation to tap into the the power of the Data Modeler framework with a minimal learning curve. In this presentation, we will review the Data Modeler GUI design and key features as well as discuss design decisions and trade-offs which led to the implementation as well as future directions.
