Description

This talk will consist of two halves related only by the use of Mathematica in both. First, a discussion of algorithmic stitchcoding, the process of creating pattern files for use by robotic quilting and embroidery machines, with unexpected results. Second, a discussion of how to turn an entire animated movie into a single image that encapsulates the flavor and rhythm of the whole movie, and the application of this technique to the Disney Animated iPad app.
