In this session we will give an introduction on using the Finite Element Method to solve Partial Differential Equations (PDE) with NDSolve. Basic concepts like the specification of regions, PDEs and boundary conditions are introduced. Through 'hands on' modification the underlying concepts of the implementation of the Finite Element Method in NDSolve will be demostrated and leave participants with an understanding on how to work on and solve their own sets of equations.
