Diesel cycle is used to theoretically describe processes in diesel engines. These engines use compression of mechanical fluid to generate heat which ignites the fuel. Compared to other combustion engines they have the highest thermal efficiency. We created interactive simulation of Diesel cycle in Mathematica. This cycle is taught in lectures about thermodynamics at our faculty. Using our simulation during the lecture, students are able to better visualize the processes taking place in this cycle.
