Now in my fifth year as co-editor of the magazine Math Horizons, I've relied extensively on Mathematica to produce illustrations, demonstrations, and animations for a wide variety of articles. In this talk, I'll show off examples of these illustrations and explain how they found their way onto the pages (and cover) of Math Horizons. While we are a full-color magazine, currently with print and static electronic versions, an interactive tablet edition is in our future. I'll make the case that familiarity with Mathematica is a valuable asset for any editor of a technical publication, and that it is a skill that will be even more valuable in the years ahead.
