Growth curves are monotonically increasing functions that measure repeatedly the same subjects over time. There are many applications, such as in the analysis of plant and animal growth, medical parameters, or economic growth. A problem of growth curve analysis consists in comparing differently shaped and scaled curves. Here I present a new method to model flexibly and to compare growth curves, in particular the growth rates of k groups of subjects.
