Monmouth College has recently begun using Mathematica to supplement in its calculus sequence. During lecture, the new features of Version 6 are used to create dynamic examples to increase student engagement. In addition, laboratory-type exercises are used to break up lecture and allow more of an active learning experience. Mathematica notebooks and preliminary assessment will be provided.
