We present two Mathematica applications, with associated content, for teaching mathematics to undergraduate and high school students. The mathematical content currently covers most fields of senior high school and freshman math, with more modules in the pipeline. The applications are designed to be especially compatible with a blended learning strategy, in which computer-based activities are used to complement other approaches, such as teacher-led work or paper-based exercises. MDTools is palette-based and provides easily accessible and user-friendly templates for exploring calculus, algebra, linear algebra, and statistics. M@th Desktop is an interactive teaching and learning software package for mathematics classes, comprising modules for differentiation, integration, and statistics. Each module consists of a combination of interactive Mathematica notebooks and associated palettes. Funding has recently been secured from the European Union to build M@th Desktop and MDTools into a multilingual resource for Europe’s undergraduates and high school students.
