Writing and Publishing a Book with Mathematica

Paul R. Wellin
Organization: Wolfram Research, Inc.

2005 Wolfram Technology Conference
Conference location

Champaign IL

The author recently published a new book on programming and is now involved in another book project on simulations, Java, and grid computing. Both books are written and produced entirely in Mathematica. In this talk he will discuss reasons for choosing this environment over more traditional authoring/production environments, as well as some tools and tips for setting up an authoring environment in Mathematica. Included will be observations on working with publishers drawn from some of his own (brief) experiences in the publishing industry.
