MOVEMENT OF A MASS POINT ON A SURFACE IN THE GRAVITY FIELD
Abstrakt. Pr´ıspevok prezentuje netypick´e rieˇsenie jednej zauj´ımavej ´ulohy fyzik´alnej olympi´ady pre stredoˇskolsk´ych ˇstudentov v ˇCeskej republike. Uveden´e rieˇsenie pouˇz´ıva apar´at diferenci´alnej geometrie a presahuje svojou podstatou r´amec stredoˇskolskej matematiky. Umoˇzˇnuje vˇsak komplexnejˇs´ı pohˇlad na rieˇsen´y probl´em a realiz´aciu v´ypoˇctu vyuˇzit´ım syst´emu Mathematica.
Abstract. The paper presents a non-standard solution of one interesting problem that was sold on the Physical Olympiade for secondary school students in Czech republic. Presented solution is an application of the differential geometry and in its base it is beyond the scope of the secondary school mathematics. Yet, it enables a complex view of the entire problem and the calculations can be realised using the software Mathematica.
