I will demonstrate the basic usage of HTMLSave as a front end menu command and as a kernel command with options. I will mention some additions since Version 3, such as support for tables and the new MathML language for representing typeset mathematics. I will explain how to customize the translation of Mathematica styles into HTML markup tags. Apart from how to use HTMLSave in particular, I will discuss the importance of liberal use of markup in the source document to identify the structure and meaning of its pieces, so that the translation to another document language (e.g., HTML or an XML application) can preserve the meaning and appearance as well as possible. At the end, I will take questions and suggestions for future development.
