This book provides a brief and understandable introduction in the software package Mathematica and shows its application to problems of the engineering mathematics. In the beginning, the construction, operation and possibilities of Mathematica are described in detail. Subsequently, this knowledge is applied to engineering mathematics, for example, matrices, differential and integral calculus. The last part of the book is devoted to the advanced topics of engineering mathematics. Here differential equations, transformations, optimization, probability and statistics are dealt with. The calculations are all presented in detail and are illustrated by numerous examples.
