Installation:

You must adjust the path name in the Get Command "<<" so Mathematica can find
your initialization files. Please refer to your system specific Mathematica
installation manual. Two examples are given below. 

<<mainDir:subDir:ch1init.m  (* Mac  Version *)
<<mainDir/subDir/ch1init.m  (* Unix Version *)

The following Mathematica commands may help you determine your 
proper path and directory.

$Path
Directory[]
FileNames[]
SetDirectory["dir"]
ResetDirectory

If you are running a remote kernel, be sure that the files reside on the
REMOTE system. Mathematica will look for these files on the remote system, 
NOT the local system. 

If you have difficulty loading the initialization using the above Get command, 
you can always open the files as a Notebook, execute the initialization cells, 
and then proceed to work in your main Notebook, or one of the example Notebooks.
