Description

To analyse the motion of a heavy solid S with a fixed point, two suitable parameters e and m are introduced which are, respectively, related to the forces and to the structure of the body. Then an approximate analytical solution is derived by the Lindstedt-Poincaré method. Finally, this solution is compared with the numerical results obtained by the program Solid.nb which allows to analyse the motion of any solid with a fixed point.
