The statistical nature of geometry and constitutive properties of engineering systems introduces stochastic nonlinearity in design response variables. After the mean and the standard deviation are estimated by Monte Carlo simulation based on engineering insights, b- distributions can be hypothesized once the upper and lower cut-off values are computed. In the interest of brevity, the procedure to obtain response ranges is emphasized with the use of the Mathematica object Interval.
