There's a great deal of interest in using Mathematica in today's classrooms. The authors have attempted to harness the powers of Mathematica and apply it to pedagogy and calculation. They began their work 2 1/2 years ago with a pre-alpha version of Mathematica, and their work has evolved into a course to be published by Addison-Wesley this fall. Some of their observations made en route are presented here.
