Description

In this paper, we present results from the Transitional Mathematics Project (TMP). TMP was set up in 1992 at Imperial College, London, with funding from the United Kingdom's Teaching and Learning Technology Programme, against a backdrop of increasing concern about the degree of mathematical preparedness of students entering Science and Engineering courses at the university. The Project set out to develop and implement a set of teaching and learning materials aimed at these students.
