You can only plot real valued numbers, but Im[x] is a real number. So 
are Abs[x], Arg[x] and Re[x]. Plot either one of these. There are some 
fun ways of plotting two parts of a 2-D vector (like a complex number) 
together, say by encoding the magnitude as height and the phase 
(Arg[]) by color. I believe there is an example in the Mathematica 
book.
