Description

We compute the probability distribution function at different times (t=1 and t=3) for a particle in fluid flow with no external force. The Brownian dynamics simulation is in agrrement with the solution of the convection/diffusion equation. This example was inspired from the Matlab program available at the following MIT OpenCourseWare course web page: http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Chemical-Engineering/10-34Fall-2005/CourseHome/index.htm
