Description

We compute the Brownian dynamics trajectory of a spherical particle in a quadratic energy well for decreasing time steps (1, 0.1, 0.01, and 0.001). The spring constant, drag coefficient and diffusivity are all taken equal to 1. We use the explicit Euler Stochastic Differential Equation method. This example was given by Kenneth J. Beers in Numerical Methods for Chemical Engineering, Applications in Matlab, Cambridge University Press, 2007.
