Description

This notebook is an introduction to carbon nanotubes and has been used in a short course for undergraduate/graduate course students in physics. The atomic structure of carbon nanotubes is generated, plotted, and animated. The electronic structure (bandstructures) is calculated within the tight binding approximation including up to 4 orbitals (s and p) on each Carbon using the Slater-Koster scheme.
