Mathematica 10 introduces system-wide support for computation with geometric regions, both mesh-based discretized regions and exact symbolically specified regions. In my talk I will focus on symbolically specified regions. I will discuss ways of specifying regions, present functionality for computing geometric properties of regions, and show how regions can be used in symbolic computation functions. I will also briefly discuss the methods used.
