The response of highly non-linear oscillators of the form (1+a)a+aaa+ga=-a, where y=y(x) and u=u(x), g is gravity acceleration, is considered. The paper focusses on the phenomenon of steady-state oscillators exhibited by the twin-well potential system. The influence of the functions y=y(x) and u=u(x) on the oscillator behaviour is considered. The sensitivity to initial conditions is considered, as is the precision of the calculations.
