Description

This talk contains three sections: Uses in Education, Modeling the Flap System in the Cessna, and Connectivity and Deployment

Uses in Education:

Get updated on how Wolfram SystemModeler is used in academia around the world. Learn about possible scenarios for educating engineers, and how SystemModeler can enhance teaching in a variety of areas such as electrical, hydraulic and mechanical engineering. This talk is targeted towards those who are using or thinking about using SystemModeler in a learning environment. Get updated on how Wolfram SystemModeler is used in academia around the world. Modeling the Flap System in the Cessna:

Find out how you can use Wolfram SystemModeler and the newly released Wolfram Hydraulic library to model and analyze different failure scenarios in the flap system of a Cessna aircraft. If a single component in the flap system is malfunctioning, how does that affect the aircraft at a system level? How can it be detected? Can we use modeling to test different safety procedures? In this presentation, you will learn the answers to these questions, and more.

Connectivity and Deployment:

In this talk we demonstrate the capabilities of Wolfram SystemModeler and how models can interact with other software and hardware components. We demonstrate how models are exported from SystemModeler and then used as an integrated part in other systems, based on the functional mock-up interface (FMI). We present models utilizing Modelica libraries for interfacing to hardware, and we show how models can be set up for communicating over networks.
