Description

The framework for pseudorandom number generation in Mathematica has been completely redesigned for version 6. There are new functions optimized for generating large arrays of random numbers as well as for making random choices and samples from sets. A mechanism is provided to extend these functions for distributions beyond the several built-in distributions. There are several new random generators along with a way to switch between generators.
