Description

We present an inside look at the inner workings of the popular MathWorld website. The site is stored and generated entirely within Mathematica and is one of several Wolfram websites produced in this way. MathWorld contains over 12,000 articles on various mathematical topics, so it is natural to store this content in Mathematica notebooks. We can then leverage Mathematica’s typesetting and XML export abilities when producing the pages. The flexible nature of Mathematica programming makes it simple and easy to create multiple output formats and implement changes.
