Description

In the present study, the effects of partial slip on steady boundary layer stagnation point flow of an electrically conducting micropolar fluid impinging normally towards a shrinking sheet in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field is investigated. A similarity transformation technique is adopted to obtain the self similar ordinary differential equations and then solved numerically using symbolic software Mathematica 7.0. The features of the flow and heat transfer characteristics for different values of the governing parameters are analyzed and discussed through graphs and tables. Both cases of assisting and opposing flows are considered. The physical aspects of the problem are highlighted and discussed.
