Description

New interactive learning courseware that can be used with Mathematica for physics classes is presented. With this courseware, students can understand complicated or mixed physics concepts. We show two interactive learningn programs as examples to illustrate the concepts of statistics and of quantum mechanics. One is a program distinguishing between for subjects in statistics such as accuracy, precision, and $MachineEpsilon, the one other finds the eigenvalues for the free-force rigid rotator by using symbolic and numeric calculations. We found that integrating the interactive Mathematica programs into physics class was very effective for improving the teaching and learning of physics in the undergraduate curriculum and for enhancing the ingenuity of students.
