Description

Using Mathematica as a tool in a process development project is reported. Mathematica was used as: (1) an environment for object-oriented modelling of structural and behavioral features of a chemical process, and (2) a symbolic and numerical equation solver. Mathematica was found to be highly useful tool at the stage of the development project, where creativity has a central role.
