Description

MathTensor is a large Mathematica package containing over one hundred functions and objects for performing tensor analysis. It was developed over a five year period to be a general purpose and flexible system for use by physicists, mathematicians, engineers and others who use tensors in their work. Discussion of some of the basic properties of MathTensor is presented as well as a number of examples of practical problems MathTensor can handle. A brief history of MathTensor's development is also given.
