Description

Computers, software technology and networking seem to form a good basis for innovations in teaching and learning. However, it is not clear how these possibilities should be used and what kind of study material would be the most appropriate. HypeMAT is a project for developing and testing some approaches in the material production. The goal is to produce a package for revising the school mathematics before the basic courses at university level. The approach is constructivist: the material is given to the student and he/she is responsible for constructing his/her own view on the subject. On the other hand, different technical solutions will be studied and tested. These cover the production and use of hypertext, the display of mathematical formulas, the use of computing tools like Mathematica, different ways for producing illustrations and animations.
