Description

The symbolic operation with Mathematica is utilized for the electomagnetic wave optimization problems. Wire array configuration is frequently employed as a shielding, scattering, guiding and focusing structure in electromagnetc wave applications. The electomagnetic wave scattering from wire array is considered. One is the array made of identical electrically conductive wires in parallel and another is the array made of coaxial loops. The question is to find their dimensions such as the distance between the wires that minimize or maximize the scattered electric field at an observation point of interest. The paper presents how Mathematica is effectively utilized for the evaluation of the equations involved to achieve the optimization.
