Mathematica for Mathematical Statistics: Developing Packages and Products

Mathematica's standard packages for statistics already contain many of the most useful commands for problems in mathematical statistics. However, there are some omissions, most notably in the analysis of variance and nonparametric statistics. We discuss a package for statistics written and used at Knox College. The package has commands not only for standard statistical procedures but also for more subtle and open-ended student investigative projects.
