Graphica 1: Visualizing Mathematics and Physics
Michael Trott
Wolfram Research, Inc.
Many of the 3D pictures of Graphica 1 are visualizations of mathematical
objects, theorems, and statements. Many of the 2D pictures are various kinds of
tessellations, subdivisions, and iterated structures.
In this talk, I will discuss in detail one kind of subdividing and coloring of 2D objects.
To be able to handle large and complicated examples, special care must be taken to
implement the needed algorithms with the best possible complexity. As a result,
interesting and fast Mathematica programming techniques will be discussed.
